cleaned up the interior of the STE today
I finally got the interior back together on the STE, and cleaned it up. INTERIOR is now ready to go. All I have to do now is some minor finishing work, come armor-all on the trim, and put the shifter knob back on. I removed the Buick Riviera knob to test the Corvette knob.
The rubber covering is coming off of the door panels, and since it is a gray cover on a gray panel, I think I am going to just strip off the rubber, and leave it stock.

I need to find some speaker grills. I want to cover up the Rockford Fosgates so that people can't tell that I have some decent speakers in there. My original covers were all cracked up, so I just pulled them off until I can get some new ones.

both of my front switch panels are messed up. The bolt holes are broken. This is just a temporary fix, but hey, it works.

better pic of the doors. One thing that never really made sense to me was the way they did the interior trim colours. The top of the doors have the GRAPHITE trim, and the dash is GRAPHITE, but the A, B, and C pillers were all LIGHT GRAY. I went to a junkyard and got new trim pieces in GRAPHITE and put those in. It made everything look better, but they are kinda faded. I am going to repaint them and see how that looks.

On the rear doors, the top piece of the door panels are not removeable like they are on the front ones, so I had to paint them to match. I need to do the drivers rear door still, but overall, I like the look. My only complaint is that the paint I used was METALLIC, so the back door is really shiny, but the rest of the trim is not. I have to paint the rest of the trim now to match.

The engine seems to be running okay, but I can't road test it right now. I am blocked in, and nobody is home to move the truck. I still need to clean the engine compartment, but getting the car to run right is more important to me at this time.

Since I had some time to kill before I went home, I decided to put the "V6" badges on the car.

Mr. Smith had an Oldsmobile
Baby blue with wire wheels
I took her home the day she was advertised
He said she leaked when it would rain
Sounded like an airplane.
But I knew she was a jewel in disguise
